Prince of Denmark in Mongolia to celebrate 40 years of Mongolian-Danish relations PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 21 August 2008
Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, arrived Wednesday in Ulaanbaatar.

Officially, the visit is meant to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Mongolian-Danish diplomatic relations.

The Prince will meet with top government officials, including the President and the Prime Minister. He will also visit the Mongolian-Danish society.

An official lunch will be held during the visit in the Ikh Tenger complex.

On Thursday, Prince Frederik will attend a Mongolian-Danish meeting regarding the development of energy. Then, he will visit the University of Education, where he will be granted a title of Honorary Doctor.

Mongolia and Denmark established diplomatic ties in 1968, with trade and economic relations beginning in the 1970s. Mongolia imports agricultural and food production equipment from Denmark and exports hand sewn products, knitwear and shoes.
