Thursday, 02 October 2008

Mongolian President N.Enkhbayar leaves Wednesday for New York to chair a UN session to review the implementation of the Almaty Program of Action at the 63rd UN General Assembly.

The Almaty Program of Action seeks to create programs for landlocked countries, such as Mongolia, to work with countries in the region to improve cross border human and cargo transport, infrastructure and trade, and to increase international support for such cooperation.

Mongolia is also seeking support for creating an Ulaanbaatar center to study problems facing landlocked countries and to find ways to bring a variety of international assistance to these countries.
