Voting began Sunday for 690 seats in provincial, city councils PDF Print E-mail

Polls opened Sunday morning as Mongolian voters selected candidates for provincial and city government positions. 

Some 690 seats will be elected in provincial and Ulaan Baatar legislative councils. Seven political parties have candidates on the ballots. 

However, all eyes will again be on the race between the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) and the main opposition Democratic Party.
