Income up 35 percent, notes survey PDF Print E-mail

A recent survey showed a 35 percent increase in household incomes in Mongolia over last year. 

The survey polled 2,808 households in Ulaanbaatar and 21 aimags.  

Reviewing incomes for the third quarter of 2008, households reported an increase of $249 per month over the same period in 2007. 

At the same time, respondents said their monthly expenditures were running as high as $324, a 22 percent increase over third quarter 2007.
