Government reports indicate that today in Mongolia there are 60 percent fewer plants manufacturing consumer drinks containing alcohol than were present in 2004.

Breakdowns show that there are 15 plants manufacturing alcohol for use in beverages. Additionally, 94 companies are operating in the country to use that alcohol to bottle a variety of drinks. Of these, 34 are located in Ulaanbaatar and the remainder in rural areas and smaller cities.

Further, government officials report that no license to manufacture drinks with alcohol has been issued in a number of years.
