Traditional Medicine Museum opens in Mongolia PDF Print E-mail

Don’t miss your chance to learn more about mongolian traditional museum next to the Nomun Gerel Center. The museum has on display over 1500 rare items related to the Mongolian traditional medicine from its about 3000 rare collections from its archive. The museum consists of 3 sections and the first part is a library with 700 sutras and books on medicine. The second part mainly introduces about the medical equipments and instruments as well as wide range of herbs and animal organs used in traditional medicine methodology. The thrid section is a home museum of Sereenen doctor, who headed the eight doctors of VIII Bogd khaan. Here you’ll be able to learn more on traditional medicine professionals of that time, how they used to work and treat the patiants.
