Kazakh to celebrate Islamic New Year |

 Mongolia is a land of a wide variety of ethnicities. Khalkh Mongol, Kazakh, Uriankhai, Durved, Uigur, Tuva, Buriad, Uzemchin, Ould, Darkhad, Bayad, Sartuul and all ethnic groups have lived together peacefully for many centuries.
Most of the Kazakhs live in Bayan-Olgii aimag. Now the population is more than 90,000 people living in an area of 45,700 square kilometers. Olgii city is an aimag’s capital and has many primary and high schools, Mongolian and Kazakh national theatres, museums and mosques and colleges. In 2000 the Bayan Olgii celebrated its 60th anniversary .
Kazakhs celebrate Nauriz the Islamic New Year every year on March 22. During Nauriz, Kazakhs visit each other and greet with special greeting "Ulystyn Uly Kuni Kutty Bolsyn" which means "Happy greatest day" and wish a good luck for coming New Year. During this holiday, Kazakhs cook all kinds of tasteful meals especially a soup called “Nauriz kozhe” and prepares seven types of cereals for seven days of the week.
On March 19, a Nauriz concert will be perform at the Central Cultural Palace at 1 pm. And here you can see and experience Kazakh culture.
