 Sun Myung Moon visited Mongolia October 2005. He is most known for his religious like sect, that is often called the Moonies, but takes on names as Unification Church or
Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace. He came to Mongolia with his wife Hak Ja
Han Moon and gave a speech entitled: “Strong family life is the true
role model for peace and harmony.”
Moon openly criticizes the UN and saying that "over 200 member
countries represents their own petty interests, doing nothing more than
serving its benefits." He also spoke in Mongolia of his plans on the project of linking North America and Russia
by constructing a bridge over Bering Strait; from Africa to Santiago,
Chile; London, England to New York, America by constructing the Peace
Bridge and creating a highway connecting the world.
Moon and his wife arrived in Mongolia,
the 37th city and 4th nation on the 120 nation peace tour, at 11:50 AM
on Sunday, October 16. MP Enksaikhan welcomed
the delegation. During their visit Moon gave a speech at the Government house and it is reported they spoke with Member of Parliament, Dr.
Idevhten, Mr. S. Bayarsogt, MP and Chief Cabinet Secretary and Prime Minister Elbegdorj
