Wednesday, 15 March 2006
mongolian_railway_train_small.jpgMongolin Tomor Zam, or the Mongolian railway, is a Russian Mongolian joint venture that operates both domestic and international lines in freight and pasengers. Mongolia has one main railroad, running from near Sukhbaatar at the Russian Border to Zamin Uud at the Southern border.
Today a statement was released with the profit over 2005 in different segments of the company. In this period transit transportation gained 45.6 billion togrogs profit. The domestic passenger and freight transportations, however, work at loss due to the policy on supporting economy and domestic production. Local transportation incurred a loss of 16.7 billion togrogs.
