Crimes reported to decrease in Mongolia |

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. The total number of crimes committed as of the
first quarter of 2006 was 4.2 thousand as decreased by 4.8 percent
compared to the same period of previous year. Decreases were recorded
in crime against human life and health (or physical well-being) 1.2
percent, of which attempted murder 15.2 percent, death due to
unfortunate occasion 11.3 percent, crime against child, family and
social morality 38.5 percent, crime against ownership right 9.5
percent, of which theft of property 4.5 percent, mugging 9.2 percent,
robber 41.5 percent, fraud 5.4 percent, forgery 35.7 percent, crime
against judicial procedure 32.1 percent, crime against military service
42.9 percent and other 27.6 percent. But increases were recorded in
crime against human freedom, rights and reputation 66.7 percent, crime
against political and other rights and freedom of individuals 40.0
percent, crime against economic entity 11.8 percent, crime against
social safety 1.6 percent, crime against population health 41.7
percent, crime against environmental protection 33.3 percent, crime
against traffic safety and use 20.3 percent, crime against
administrative rule 18.2 percent, occupational related crime 57.9
percent. The crime caused 4.1 billion togrogs worth of damage, from
which 58.4 percent or 2.4 billion togrogs are damage of individual
property and 27.1 percent of total damage was restituted.
