Tumen Ekh Ensemble to travel to the USA, Canada PDF Print E-mail

The "Tumen Ekh" Ensemble of the Mongolian national songs and dance is going to perform in North America. The Mongolian Art Council in cooperation with the American Art Council will arrange the performance through May 4-June 6. The Ensemble--12 artists--will play for a month in New York, Washington, Denver, and Seattle of the USA, in Toronto, Ottawa, and Saint Albert of Canada and also participate in the international children s festivals. The performance under the 800th anniversary of the foundation of the Great Mongolian Empire will be a significant measure to publicize worldwide the Mongolian national culture and art. The Ensemble s expences are to be financed by "Trust for Mutual Understanding", the Boeing Company, the Asian Community, the Agricultural Bank of Mongolia, the Ulaanbaatar and Denver Sisterhood Cities Committee, the Seattle International Children s Festival, the Mongolian Embassy in Canada, the "Milk" International Children s Festival in Toronto and the International Children s Festival in Alberta.
