The "Tumen Ekh" Ensemble of the Mongolian national songs and dance is going to perform in North America. The Mongolian Art Council in cooperation with the American Art Council will arrange the performance through May 4-June 6. The performance under the 800th anniversary of the foundation of the Great Mongolian Empire will be a significant measure to publicize worldwide the Mongolian national culture and art. The Ensemble s expences are to be financed by "Trust for Mutual Understanding", the Boeing Company, the Asian Community, the Agricultural Bank of Mongolia, the Ulaanbaatar and Denver Sisterhood Cities Committee, the Seattle International Children s Festival, the Mongolian Embassy in Canada, the "Milk" International Children s Festival in Toronto and the International Children s Festival in Alberta.

This includes issues within Mongolia, and relevant international information and experiences. The need for information pertinent to the environment, ecology, and resource use, available to a broad audience with diverse interests and needs, was identified during the initial year of The Asia Foundation’s Securing Our Future program.
