Mongolia builds appertments for low income households |

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. The Program Apartments complex for 40 thousand
families , which is initiated by the Government of Mongolia, focuses on
providing low and medium income families with modern comfortable
apartments. About this was stressed by Mr. J.Narantsatsralt, Minister
of Construction and Urban Development, at Wednesday s meeting of the
Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economy. A master plan and a
specification on the locations and numbers of apartments will be worked
out by May 2006. The Ministry of Construction and Urban Development has
developed a proposal to issue 60 billion togrogs worth bonds under the
laws and regulations for the Program realization. Within the bonds
scale, apartments for 40 families are planned to be erected in centers
of 21 aimags, and apartments for four families are expected to be built
in each soum. Under the Program, apartments for 3,200 families were put
into operation in 2005, and some construction companies have been
permitted to erect apartments for 3,500 families.
