Archeology instute safeguards Mongolia's ancient findings |

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. More than 5,000 findings related to the
periods from the Stone Age to the Middle Age are preserved in the
Archeology-Anthropology Lab of the Archeological Institute. Some of
those are 750 thousand year s Paleolithic stone weapons in the Tsagaan
cave, a discovery of a Hunnu princess s graveyard in Mankhan locality
of Khovd province, and a memorial complex of Turkic Bilge Khan. In
recent years, a number of foreign amateurs for archeological findings
left by nomads in the territory of Mongolia has been increasing, and
joint projects are carried out with scientific institutions and
scientists from Russia, the USA, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Germany,
France, Turkey, Belgium and Italy. Approximately ten expeditions
operate in Mongolia in a year.
