Mr. O.Enkhtuvshin, Minister of Education, Culture and Science, met Tuesday the Ulaanbaatar City Mayor Mr. Ts.Batbayar. At the meeting, the Minister requested from the City Mayor not to grant the lands, designated for the erection of schools and kindergartens, to other organizations. Mr. Batbayar said the lands for schools and kindergartens will shortly be confirmed completely and then officially noted he will not grant the lands to others.

Previously many construction companies were granted pieces of land on the basis that a school would be built. However, the schools would only take a small piece of the land with the remaining part being used for expensive apartment buildings.

The two men exchanged the views on the social issues on teachers and on providing them with cheaper modern apartments. At his meeting with the officials of kindergartens in Ulaanbaatar, Mr. Batbayar stressed he made a decision to grant one million togrogs to each kindergarten for the renovation of their kitchens.
