Cashmere Industry Takes Off in West Mongolia PDF Print E-mail

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. A cashmere processing industry Avatex - Kainar of a joint Mongolian-British company has been put into operation in Bayan-Ulgii Aimag. The small-sized industry has capacities to annually export 140 tons of washed cashmere and employ 50 people in a shift. The industry, which is capable to significantly hold down the cashmere prices at the Mongolian market, to develop the national production and to provide the unemployed with jobs, is jointly established by Mr. A.Merat and Mr. S.Kidirpatsha, directors of the Kainar and Avatex - Kainar companies, under the initiative of MP A.Murat. The industry equipment were installed by specialists from Russia and China.
