Mongolia discusses Safe Labor Environment on Labor Day PDF Print E-mail

On the occasion of the 800th anniversary celebration of the Great Mongol Empire and the 120th jubilee of the Solidarity Day of International Laborers, the Federation of Mongolian Trade Unions administered a gathering of solidarity under the slogan Safe Labor Environment with the purpose of providing the Mongolian laborers with opportunities for uniting for their interests and for attracting the Government s attention to their voice. Mongolian Premier Mr. N.Enkhbold, Minister of Social Welfare and Labor, Mr. L.Odonchimed, President of the Federation of Mongolian Trade Unions, Mr. N.Sodnomdorj, the Federation s Vice President Mr. M.Chimeddorj and heads of 11 branches of the Trade Unions gave speeches at the gathering. After them, 20 persons gave speeches and raised questions related to creation of safe labor environment, to promulgation of an independent labor law, to remedy of tax pressure, the reduction of VAT down to 10 percent, poverty alleviation, and to immediate pay off the compensations to stallholders of the SAPU trade center.
