100 days of Mongolia's solidarity government PDF Print E-mail

Mongolia Web News, Ulaanbaatar. It has passed 100 days, since the solidarity government was launched in Mongolia, last February. On May 04, the premier M.Enkhbold, deputy premier M.Enkhsaikhan, S.Batbold, head of the Cabinet secretariat reported activities to media which is carried out by solidarity government during three months. Premier M.Enkhbold said that the government increased government staffs’ salaries by 30 percent and for doing this they corrected a mistake from 2003, when salaries were suposed to be increased by 25 percent but this addition was not displayed in basic salaries.
Also, labor pay was newly determined at 53 thousand togrogs. On the result of having first time profit in state budget, government made decisions to grant one time allowance of 100 thousand togrogs to each newborn baby, monthly allowance of three thousand togrog to all children under 18 years and  500 thousand togrog to each couples who gets first time marriage. Also approved “Healthy Mongolian” program which is going to involve 1.8 million people above 15 years in medical inspections.  It was stated that many people are grateful for the government for providing lunch to all children studying in elementary schools and subsequently the government decided to spend 4.8 billion togrogs for the “Lunch” program.

In 1979 an atlas was published in Ulaanbaatar by Mr. Rinchen with an overview of more than 900 religious sites that used to exist in Mongolia. However a lot the information listed seems to be not accurate. A research has been initiated to get a better idea of all the buddhist buildings that once stood in Mongolia.
