One of Mongolia's most popular rock groups " Khar Chono" will perform Mongolia's first rock opera "Chinggis Khaan", in Ulaanbaatar. S.Tara composed the music for the opera, that will feature many other Mongolian famous artists and musicians. It is based on the "Secret History of the Mongols" , an account of times  of Chinggis Khaan's (Genghis Khan) Empire. The text was edited by specialist G. Bilguudei and further scrutinized by the World Chinggis Khaan's academy's B.Davaanyam and other scholars.

The rock opera will draw its first curtain on April 20, 2006 in the Central Cultural Palace, and intends to conclude with a special performance during "Naadam" July 11-13, 2006
