"Golden Rose-2005" was held on 31, December selecting this year;s top people in Mongolia in different fields. "This festival is greeting the 800th anniversary of Great Mongol Empire and also celebrating the "Golden Rose -2005" nationwide" said G.Zandanshatar, director of the Mongolian Democratic Socialist Youth's Association.
"Golden Rose -2005" selected people that stood during the last year in five fields:
- Politics: Parliament member U.Khurelsukh
- Administrative: Parliament member T.Gandi
- Economy: Mrs. J.Oyungerel
- Arts: Singer S.Javkhlan
- Sports: B.Naranbaatar
