Mongolia to welcome 200 Japanese tourists per day PDF Print E-mail

Ministry of Road, Transportation and Tourism is organizing campaigns such as “Tourist with Information”, “Smile campaign”, “Peaceful Tourist” and “Professional Tourist”, aimed to promote Mongolian culture, traditions and nomadic life, to increase the number of tourists.
In the first quarter of 2007 approximately 54 thousand tourists came to Mongolia. And prognoses says this year there will be a total of 400 thousand tourists coming to Mongolia, most of them from Japan and Korea. June and July’s air tickets from Tokyo to Ulaanbaatar and from Seoul to Ulaanbaatar are already completey booked.
And what’s more.., from June Mongolia will welcome 200 tourists per day from Japan.
