Railway transportation tariff for some agricultural freights including wood, wooden material, and chemical fertilizers increased by 1.2 percent starting from January 1, 2006, according to Onoodriin Mongol newspaper. The cause of the increase was explained in connection with the increase of diesel fuel price.
However, the new tariff will not effect transit freights.
