Mongolia Web News, Ulaanbaatar. Next Tuesday (May 23rd) the “Sun princess” Body Paint Art Ahow will take place at the "Strings" night club. The art of body painting originates from ancient Egypt and India, and was recently further developed in America and Europe, where it has become a popular artform. Now body paint is introduced to Mongolia by B.Ariunaa, painter of “Esui” agency. "The peculiarity of this art that it is unrepeatable, the models are painted for one unique event," Ariunaa said. "Most foreigners are interested in the more traditional Mongolian arts as khoomii throat singing, long song, and contortionists, but also traditional paintings. So, we thought if we combine these traditional Mongolian arts but draw them on nudes according to the practise of body painting, we can create a new art form that will attracked people. The show will include various styles, even including that of the Buddhist Tsam Mask Dances, and furthermore the Dance of the King’s Palace, modern art with modern dance and a true body paint strip show.

manuscripts maps in cooperation with the state archive of Mongolia. It contains 16 precious maps which are stored at the state archive for
academic use. The oldest map was estimated being made in 1803-1805.
