Finance Minister attends EBRD annual meeting |

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. Mongolian Finance Minister Mr. N.Bayartsaikhan
has attended the Annual Governors Meeting of the European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) held in London. At the plenary
meeting of the EBRD Governors, Mr. Bayartsaikhan reported on the
current socio-economic situation of Mongolia and expressed his thanks
to the Governments and top legislative institutions of more than 60
countries for supporting Mongolia to have credit right member of the
EBRD. Mr. Bayarsaikhan held meetings with EBRD officials to exchange
views on issues related to the expansion of the bilateral relations and
cooperation. The EBRD President Mr. Jean Limier agreed with the
Minister to visit Mongolia in July 2006 to open the EBRD Representative
Board in Mongolia and to hold a regular consultative meeting of the
members of the EBRD Board of Directors in Ulaanbaatar in September
2006. The Minister also gave speeches at the meeting of the Fund to
Cooperate with Mongolia and at the business forum of Mongolia. Mr.
L.Bold, Head of the Minerals Authority of Mongolia, made a report on
issues related to the mining sector development of Mongolia.
