Tumen Ekh performing in North America PDF Print E-mail

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. The "Tumen Ekh" Ensemble of Mongolia is performing in the North America at the support by the Arts Council of Mongolia. The Ensemble, which started their performances from May 5 in New York City, the USA, is showing the wonders of Mongolian art including morin khuur, long song, contortion, tsam and shamanist dances in Washington, Denver, Seattle, Takoma, Toronto and Alberta of Canada.

Akira KAMIMURA, lecturer, faculty of Mongolian studies, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies launched an innovative website on old Mongolian manuscripts maps in cooperation with the state archive of Mongolia. It contains 16 precious maps which are stored at the state archive for academic use. The oldest map was estimated being made in 1803-1805.
