Prince Willem Alexander, Princess Maxima Mongolia Visit PDF Print E-mail

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Her Royal Highness, Princess Maxima arrived on Wednesday evening in Mongolia. On Thursday, the high-ranking guests met the UB Mayor Mr. Ts.Batbayar and the Parliament Speaker Mr. Ts.Nyamdorj. Mongolia established diplomatic relations with the Netherlands in 1972. The Netherlands warmly supported the democratic reform and process from the very first and paid more attention to boosting its cooperation and ties with Mongolia starting from 1990. The Netherlands are carrying out 1.6 million USD project for acclimatizing Przewalskii horses in Mongolia and for making the Khustai Mountain range as National Park. Thanks to it, more than 180 Przewalskii horses are living in the country. Apart of this, the Netherlands will render 7.5-million Euro non-refundable aid to Mongolia for the purpose of preserving the nature, environment and for decreasing a poverty.

SPEAKER RECEIVES HIS ROYAL PRINCE OF NETHERLANDS
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. Parliament Speaker of Mongolia Mr. Ts.Nyamdorj received today His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Her Royal Highness, Princess Maxima who are paying visit as the guest of the President of Mongolia. At the beginning of the meeting, Speaker Ts.Nyamdorj noted that the visit by the Prince and the Princess of Netherlands, which is coinciding with the celebration of the 800th anniversary of the foundation of the Great Mongol Empire, is giving a high respect to the Mongolians, and expressed his gratitude to the guests. The Speaker pointed out that the Netherlands have been supporting and assisting the process of democratic reforms in Mongolia from the very beginning. Mongolian state and people are happy that the country is giving more assistance and support to Mongolia in implementing the goals--to maintain environment stability and decrease a poverty--reflected in the UN Millennium Development Goals /MDGs/. At the meeting, the sides talked about water resource and management. The Speaker hoped that the Royal Highness Prince would render an assistance in designing a plan and a management of the Mongolian pure water on the basis of his country s experiences. His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander expressed his gratitude to the Speaker for receiving them and hoped that the projects and programs, being carried out at his country s assistance, would continue. After the meeting, the esteemed guests were showed the State Nine Standards of Mongolia and got au fait with the meeting of the Parliament Session.


NETHERLANDS GUESTS VISIT "XAC" BANK    
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Her Royal Highness, Princess Maxima visited Thursday the XAC Bank of Mongolia. The honorary guests handed over the Financial Transparency Award by the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor /CGAP/ to the XAC Bank. Over a billion poor people lack an access to essential financial services. The CGAP is a consortium of 33 public and private development agencies, working together to expand access to financial services for the poor, referred to as microfinance.
