"Genghis Khan Memorial Ready for Mongolia's National Holiday"

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. The front side of the Chinngis Khaan Memorial
Complex that is being constructed in front of the Government House,
will be ready before the National Holiday, General Director of the
Niislel Urguu company B.Ganzorig reported. President and Prime Minister
of Mongolia N.Enkhbayar and M.Enkhbold witnessed the construction of
the structure on Monday. More than 420 builders are working 24 hours a
week divided into three shifts. According to the plan, an opening
ceremony of the Monument of Chinggis Khaan and his two knights
monuments will take place on July 10. Prime Minister M.Enkhbold told
the President that the Parliament should decide this week an issue on
exempting building materials for the structure from import duty.

KAMIMURA, lecturer, faculty of Mongolian studies, Tokyo University of
Foreign Studies launched an innovative website on old Mongolian
manuscripts maps in cooperation with the state archive of Mongolia. It contains 16 precious maps which are stored at the state archive for
academic use. The oldest map was estimated being made in 1803-1805.
