US trains military in Mongolia PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 30 July 2006
The United States is conducting a training program for peacekeepers in Mongolia this Summer. Some 300 American military personnel will run the program, which will train 600 Mongolian troops, as well as 200 others from Bangladesh, Fiji, South Korea, Thailand and Tonga. The United States has been running training courses like this all over the world, in an effort to raise the training standard for peacekeepers. The students are taught basic peacekeeping techniques, which have been developed over decades of actual peacekeeping operations.
The training is part of the millions of dollars that President Bush promised during his visit to Mongolia last year.

It is good to see that the promises are kept. Good luck on the mission.

Absolutely. Mongolia is a loyal friend in the war against Muslim extremism. I have always liked to read up on goings on in the land of the blue sky for years. It makes me feel proud then thatour friends so far away over the steppe, are close with us for the common good. Bayartai.
