MonInfo reports: The State Cadastral Authority granted 814 mining licenses while contradicting a decision by the Minister of the Industry and Trade and the new mineral resources law, the National Soyombo Civil Movement said Monday.
The movement noted that the Cadastral Authority granted those mining licenses after a decision by the Minister of Trade and Industry B. Jargalsaikhan on February 8 stating that any exploration or mining licenses should not be granted, transferred or canceled until after the new minerals law was approved, which parliament passed on July 8.
“Unfortunately T. Zandanshir, Chairman of the Cadastral Authority signed and granted 814 licenses between February and October,” said D. Ganbaatar, a member of the Resolute Reforms Civil Movement. Read more at www.moninfo.org/content/view/299/35/lang,en/
