Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A total of 79,284 motorised means of transport were counted in Ulaanbaatar during the 2006 spring technical inspection. Comparing the number of motor vehicles to the total length of drivable roads in Ulaanbaatar, there are 195 cars to one kilometer of road. Only six years ago, this figure stood at 114. As can clearly be seen, the number of transport means has been increasing year by year, but the condition and length of roads remains the same, explaining Ulaanbaatar's numerous traffic jams.
