Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. About 20 troops of Mongolia's sixth military contingent left for Afghanistan last Sunday to take part in the Afghan national army development program. Mongolia has effectively participated in the international peacekeeping operations since 2003. At present, Mongolian contingents and observes carry out duties in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone and Western Sahara.
