Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 800th anniversary of
the foundation of the Great Mongol State, the World Academy of Chinggis
Khan will host a worship to the Great Chinggis Khan on July 1-10 on the
Baishint Mountain in Galt soum of Khovsgol Aimag. The Academy president
P.Dvaanyam said, .. We will restore the worship ceremony, which was
performed by Chinggis Khan eight centuries ago. According to the
historical sources, Chinggis Khan made the worship ceremony three times
during his life. Last year, the Academy organized a worship ceremony in
August in order to restore the offering . The above ceremony will be
attended by anyone interested in participating in it. The Aademy also
has reviewed the calendar, which was observed starting from the period
of Chinggis Khan, and appeals to the Mongolian nation to celebrate the
White Month National Holiday on January 29.
