A. Batsukh Appointed as Next Mongol Bank President PDF Print E-mail

MonInfo, Mongolia, reports: After listening to a presentation by the standing committee on economics only 44 members of parliament quickly discussed and voted on appointing A. Batsukh as the new Mongol Bank president. In a nearly partisan vote, 30 of the 44 members present voted in favor of Batuskh, with only one MPRP member joining independents and DP members in voting against Batsukh.

“A. Batsukh, the current first deputy governor of the Mongol Bank, was confirmed as the next president in a parliamentary vote, where 68.2 percent members were in favor,” said J. Nergui, Press spokesman of the Parliament.

Akira KAMIMURA, lecturer, faculty of Mongolian studies, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies launched an innovative website on old Mongolian manuscripts maps in cooperation with the state archive of Mongolia. It contains 16 precious maps which are stored at the state archive for academic use. The oldest map was estimated being made in 1803-1805.
