Friday, 22 December 2006
The Minister of Coal and Energy, B.Erdenebat and the Minister of Health, L.Gundalai have signed an agreement to provide hospitals of 97 soums with a complex of solar generators. The generators are made by the solar battery industry of the National Renewable Energy Center of Mongolia. Domestically-made production will be supplied at the price 30-40 percent cheaper than the import one. The products of the industry, which has a capacity of producing 30 solar generators a day, have been sent to rural areas starting from Wednesday. In the first shift, the generators will be delivered to the soums of the Eastern Regional aimags.

In 1979 an atlas was published in Ulaanbaatar by Mr. Rinchen with an overview of more than 900 religious sites that used to exist in Mongolia. However a lot the information listed seems to be not accurate. A research has been initiated to get a better idea of all the buddhist buildings that once stood in Mongolia.
