2007: Japan Year in Mongolia |

2007 will be the Year of Japan in Mongolia in connection with the Year of Mongolia, which is celebrated in Japan. The activities and measures planned to be organized during the year 2007 were reported on Friday by Mr. S.Batbold, the Head of Cabinet Secretariat of the Mongolian Government, and the Japanese Ambassador to Mongolia, Mr. Ya.Ichihashi. The 35th jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan will take place in 2007. Within the scope of the anniversary celebration, an inauguration ceremony of a feature film Chinggis Khan , which has jointly been created by artists of the two countries, will be held in January 2007. The scheduled measures for the jubilee celebration will be arranged in February 2007. Japanese film days, a musical festival, a dance festival, a performance of ballet dancers and a contest of air balloons will be organized as well. April and May 2007 will be proclaimed as the Sakura Month and contests of Japanese song and auto-rally are planned to be conducted also.
