Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. For the preliminary result of 2005, total
revenue and grants of General Government budget amounted to 833.3
bln.togrogs and total expenditure and net lending 772.9 bln.togrogs.
The General Government budget overall balance was a surplus 60.4
bln.togrogs. Current revenue of General Government amounted to 829.1
bln.togrogs and current expenditure 589.0 bln.togrogs. The budget
current balance was a surplus 240.1 bln.togrogs, which was increased by
43.3 percent or 72.6 bln.togrogs compared to 2004. Compared to 2004
year, tax revenue increased by 18.3 percent, taxes on foreign trade
increased by 27.4 percent, value added tax increased by 10.7 percent
and excise tax increased by 12.3 percent respectively. The share of
current expenditure in the total expenditure and net lending amounted
to 76.2 percent, increased by 4.6 points compared to 2004. But shares
of capital expenditure and net lending in the total expenditure and net
lending amounted to 11.0 percent and 12.8 percent, which decreased by
2.9 and 1.7 points compared to 2004, respectively.
