America - Mongolia Stamp Issued |

A ceremony took place on Monday in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to
announce a new stamp as a bond of the postal service. The stamp is
issued by the company for the 20th anniversary of establishment of the
diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United States. Present at
the ceremony were N.Enkhbold, the Minister of Foreign Affairs;
T.Christensen, the Deputy of Assistant Secretary of the US Department
of State responsible for East Asia and the Pacific issues; the U.S
Ambassador to Mongolia, Mr. Mark C.Minton, and the Director of Mongol
Post company, U.Idertsogt. The stamp features the memorial monuments to
Chinggis Khan, the founder of the Great Mongol Empire, and the 16th U.S
President Abraham Lincoln, who is immortalized in the history by
eliminating the slavery, also the state flags of Mongolia and the USA,
the state palace of protocol and honor of Mongolia, and the White
House. Mr. T.Christensen said, Many American young people collect
stamps. I hope that the young generation will know more about the
history of our two countries and bilateral friendly relations through
this stamp .
