Saturday, 03 March 2007
Chinggis Lhaan MemorialUlaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. A ceremony will first ever take place Saturday on the Sukhbaatar square to pay respects to the State Protocol and Honor Palace and the memorial monument to Great Chinggis Khan. The ceremony will start at 11 a.m. by sounding some teachings and orders of Chinggis Khan. At 11:40 a.m., the State and Government Heads will go round the Sukhbaatar Square when the state flag will be flied and the national anthem will be played. The State Protocol Service of Mongolian Government appeals to citizens to get dressed in the national costumes if to take part in the event. Arts and cultural measures such as a concert of morin khuur players (national musical instrument - horse headed fiddle) will be arranged during the ceremony. A construction of the State Protocol and Honor Palace began last year in front of the Government House for the 800th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire
