Australian Foreign Affairs Ministers Visits Mongolia PDF Print E-mail

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. On Wednesday, the Foreign Affairs minister of Australia, Mr. Alexander Dawner paid an official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of his Mongolian counterpart N.Enkhbold. During his visit, Mr. A.Dawner was accompanied by the Australian Ambassador to Mongolia and some officials of the Australian Foreign Affairs ministry. Mr. A.Dawner with accompanying him delegates visited the Lotus Children s care center in UB s Khan-Uul district. The two ministers held talks to exchange views on the bilateral relations and cooperation issues. In the afternoon, Mr. Dawner held meetings with the Mongolian President, the Prime Minister and the Finance minister to touch upon the issues related to the bilateral collaboration and ties. At his meeting with Mr. Dawner, the Premier noted that Mongolia strives to join APEC and expressed his hope that Australia, as an influential member of APEC, will render a support to Mongolia in join the APEC. In turn, Mr. Dawner emphasized that Australia s interest in Mongolia has been increasing year by year. He underlined that a wide possibility is in hand to promote the bilateral cooperation in key sectors of economisc such as the mining sphere.
