Nine Mongolian job brokers were arrested in the Czech Republic on July 10. They were charged with illegally luring Mongolians to the Czech Republic and forcing them to work in near-slavery conditions. 

During the operation, police checked 26 Mongolians arriving by train from Moscow. Of the group, two were found without any documents, one had an expired visa and another was carrying a false visa. All four were detained. 

Police note that 30 to 40 Mongolians arrive to work in the Czech Republic each week. 

Official figures show that 6,000 Mongolian citizens are legally working in the Czech Republic. 

The largest group of foreign workers are the Ukranians, with 126,000 workers, followed by the Slovaks (71,000) and, in third, the Vietnamese (56,000).
