The Executive Director of the Khan Bank Peter Morrow met with President of Mongolia N. Enkhbayar. Mr. Morrow informed the President of the Khan Bank’s nominal capital
reaching 11.5 billion MNT and its having established a network of
services through its branches located in all the aimags and soums.
Moreover, he informed of celebrating the 15th anniversary of the bank
in the coming year and the activities planned for the celebration, i.e.
support for education and culture, enhancing computer technology in
rural areas, etc.
Since its privatization in 2003 the bank and its activity have
considerably been expanded; it gives small and medium-size business
loans.
The President expressed his appreciation of the activities of the Khan
Bank and exchanged views on the present banking and financial matters.
The President appreciated the Khan Bank for supporting Mongolia’s
development in culture and fine arts, and wished success in its future
endeavors.
