China has announced it hopes
to see stability returned to Mongolia following Tuesday’s riots.
During a Thursday press conference,
Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said China hopes to see increased
calm in Mongolia and the continuing development of bilateral relations
and normal exchanges between the two peoples.
When asked, Liu Jianchao said
no changes in Chinese security had been ordered at the China-Mongolia
border.
