A Mongolian airline may purchase
seven commercial passenger jets.
Reports on Sunday said Eznis
Airways, Mongolia’s second largest airlines, has signed a letter of
intent to purchase seven aircraft from Canada’s Bombardier aircraft
manufacturer.
Each plane would hold 110 to
130 seats.
Eznis, begun in 2006, currently
flies three Swedish twin-engine turboprop aircraft used for mining charters
in Mongolia and short-haul trips to Russia and northern China.
The seven additional jets would
allow Eznis to offer regular service to Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai,
as well as Kazakhstan and Eastern Europe.
If the deal occurs, Eznis would
receive delivery of the jets in 2010.
