 Eagle TV's "Your Time" has been broadcasting people's reactions on
Elbegdorj's accident and the following media silence. People express to
be upset about the accident and are worried about his condition. Since
the news was released of the accident that seriously injured former
prime minister Elbegdorj and killed his driver no more updates have
been given, giving rise to much speculation. Some viewers hinted at a
complot theory impliying the accident was actually a murder attempt.
The Elbegdorj wikipedia article showed a comment for some time were the
MPRP was accused the party "may harm him in the hospital". However
considering the current diversity in media outlets, it seems unlikely
the family or the democratic party would not be able to get media
access if they desired. Other people have pointed at the bad shape of
the roads and the possibility that the motor driver had been consuming
alcohol as part of the Naadam celebrations. As alternative reasons for
the media silence suggetions include a certain descretion towards the
family to keep private details out of the media or the wish to not
disrupt the festivities of the Naadam national holiday.
UPDATE According to sources close to Elbegdorj his situation was indicated this morning as stable, indicating that there has been no considerable improvement nor a further worsening of the situation.
