Mongolia, Kuwait discuss oil purchases during visit by Emir

The emir of Kuwait concluded an eight-day visit to Mongolia on Saturday. The most significant business conducted was the agreement to send a Mongolian delegation to Kuwait to explore purchasing oil. 

There were also discussions about Kuwait assisting in the building of a national library and a new Parliament building. 

In a statement, Mongolia and Kuwait acknowledged the improving bilateral relations between the countries. Additionally, the emir of Kuwait invited Mongolian President N. Enhbayar to visit Kuwait soon.

A good cooperation between Mongolia and Kuwait can be very beneficial for both countries. For Mongolia of course it is of the utmost importance to become less dependent of energy supplies from Russia which is currently used to force Mongolia to change its national law in favour of Russian investors.
