Elbegdorj supporters Yes, the long waited Presidential Candidates’ Debate was finally on the Mongolian National Broadcasting yesterday lasted from 9 pm until 10.30 pm, for one and half hour. The public has different opinions on debate procedures, organization, host, questions and etc.

Some hold the view that the debate was not in line with genuine procedures of debate and it was rather more of discussion between the candidates.

Some are critical of the organization of the Mongolian National Broadcasting. At the beginning of the debate the MNB was supposed to introduce the procedures but the host failed to introduce them. Whereas he should have explained the ethics of the debate like how the candidates should respect each other etc. Other thing that the public criticizes MNB is that the debate was poorly organized in terms of questions.

As the host said, they received questions from all over the country and chose only 60 relevant questions and each candidate had 2 min to reply. Some viewers say that the questions overlapped the Presidential rights and duties. Therefore, they think the MNB was not aware of Constitution, President’s rights and duties. To conclude, whatever it was the long waited debate was held.

For those who are supporting Ts.Elbegdorj, Presidential Candidate from Democratic Party the debate was good way to compare both Candidates on various topics and confirm their choice for him. They were really satisfied with and increased their appeal towards Ts.Elbegdorj, The Presidential Candidate from Democratic Party. Also they say that the answers of N.Enhbayar, The Presidential Candidate from MPRP was more of rhetoric, not new and boring and his answers made many people reconsider “then why did not he do it for these years?... Why now?... He had time….”.

For those who are supporting N.Enhbayar, The Presidential Candidate, the debate was also one more chance to confirm their choice for him. His supporters were appealed for his experience and image as a President.

Enkhbayar is crap.Which he clearly demonsrated in the debate. All he would talk about was Chingis Khaan, Olympic gold medals and vague comments about the economy. Mongolia needs solid leadership that will eliminated powerty and create jobs.

End corruption. Vote for Elbegdorj!
