Mongolia Web News, Ulaanbaatar. The American development organization USAID announced a new local representative Dr. Primm for their USD 7.5 million programme that includes business development and governance with partners as Mercy Corps and the Republican IRI.
USAID is kind enough to explain why Dr. Primm comes to Mongolia: he likes fishing and hunting.

PRESS RELEASE

Today, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) announced the swearing in of Dr. Barry Primm as the new USAID Representative for Mongolia. USAID Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Asia and the Near East James R. Kunder presided at the event and administered the oath.

Mongolia provides an important example in the region on how to manage an economic transition from a centrally planned to a free market economy within a democratic political framework. Dr. Primm will oversee an annual program budget of $7.5 million.

Dr. Primm began his oversees service with USAID in Indonesia in 1978. He then served in Pakistan, India, Philippines, Central Asia, Armenia and Albania. Most recently he served as the Deputy Mission Director for Afghanistan, a post he held for two years, bringing his extensive expertise and providing valuable continuity to one of the nation's most demanding missions.

Having received his undergraduate degree from Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, Dr. Primm also holds a Masters of Science in agricultural economics from Kansas State University, as well as a PhD in economics. He grew up on a small family farm west of Olathe, Kansas.

Dr. Primm has two children, both of whom are attending college in Missouri. For hobbies, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and travel.

Hunting what or whom? You should be ashamed. No one needs that kind of AID.
