Mongolia will begin a program to reduce the number of teenagers smoking cigarettes.

Entitled, "Health education against smoking," the program will target students in the 9, 10, and 11 grades for special education about smoking.

G.Tomorbaatar, a governor of the Ulaanbaatar’s Sukhbaatar district, signed off on specifics to implement the program in area schools.

Students will be taught the harm cigarette smoking causes to those who smoke. Further, the program will become part of newly implemented laws on controlling the smoking of cigarettes.
