The traditional horse race of the Tsagaan Sar Lunar New Year was held under bitter cold circumstances. Temperatures dropped below the -30C line, but nevertheles the race took place. The young riders, often younger than ten years, suffered from the icy cold weather. In the end the winner was a horse owned by the newly assigned Prime Minister Enkhbold.
